class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antigamente, quando se mencionava a palavra &#8216;Biblioteca&#8217;, automaticamente associava-se o termo \u00e0 imagem de um local, onde, apenas, eram armazenados livros. Ao longo do tempo, essa ideia foi sendo desmistificada e moldada. Hoje, entende-se\u00a0 &#8216;Biblioteca&#8217; como espa\u00e7o cultural e integrativo, um centro din\u00e2mico de informa\u00e7\u00e3o, ambiente de conviv\u00eancia e de est\u00edmulo \u00e0 constru\u00e7\u00e3o de novos conhecimentos, que visa a estimular pessoas \u00e0 pesquisa, ao aprendizado, ao ensino e \u00e0s descobertas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Biblioteca P\u00fablica \u00e9 uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o criada e mantida <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0pelo Estado (municipal, estadual ou federal), al\u00e9m disso, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conforme o Sistema Nacional de Bibliotecas P\u00fablicas (SNBP), tem por objetivo atender, por meio de seus acervos e servi\u00e7os, os diferentes interesses de leitura e informa\u00e7\u00e3o da sua comunidade local, formada por diversos tipos de p\u00fablico. Ela colabora, gratuitamente, para ampliar o acesso \u00e0 informa\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e0 leitura e ao livro, sendo considerada um\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">equipamento cultural.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Biblioteca Central da Ufal, uma biblioteca p\u00fablica federal, foi inaugurada em <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">04 de abril de 1990, para atuar como <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unidade de apoio acad\u00eamico e \u00f3rg\u00e3o diretor e orientador das atividades do Sistema de Bibliotecas Ufal (SiBi\/Ufal), <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conforme o art. 9\u00ba do Regimento Interno do SiBi\/Ufal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre os seus objetivos est\u00e3o o de <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">oferecer informa\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnico-cient\u00edficas, liter\u00e1rias e art\u00edsticas como suporte aos programas de ensino, pesquisa e extens\u00e3o da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Ufal), bem como possibilitar o acesso e a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o da informa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 comunidade acad\u00eamica, bem assim coletar, processar, armazenar e difundir o conhecimento gerado e editado no \u00e2mbito da Ufal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al\u00e9m disso, coordena os servi\u00e7os bibliotec\u00e1rios e informacionais, estabelecendo a pr\u00e1tica bibliotecon\u00f4mica no contexto universit\u00e1rio, bem como estuda a viabilidade e prop\u00f5e novos servi\u00e7os, buscando articul\u00e1-los entre as Bibliotecas do SiBi\/Ufal, as Unidades Acad\u00eamicas e os Campi avan\u00e7ados.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A BC tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma das Unidades respons\u00e1veis por apoiar o Reposit\u00f3rio Institucional da Ufal (Riufal) na manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento de suas atividades.<\/span><\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Estrutura F\u00edsica<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Biblioteca Central da Ufal possui um espa\u00e7o f\u00edsico global de 4.800 m\u00b2, divididos em tr\u00eas pavimentos (subsolo, t\u00e9rreo e 1\u00b0 andar):<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Subsolo: destinado \u00e0s atividades administrativas, e ao uso dos espa\u00e7os multim\u00eddia: audit\u00f3rio, miniaudit\u00f3rio e sala de aula;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; 1\u00ba andar: destinado \u00e0s atividades internas &#8211; administrativas e t\u00e9cnicas;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; T\u00e9rreo: destinado ao atendimento da comunidade universit\u00e1ria, no que se refere a cole\u00e7\u00f5es e servi\u00e7os.<\/span><\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Espa\u00e7os e Equipamentos<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Sal\u00f5es climatizados para os Acervos Geral e de Cole\u00e7\u00f5es Especiais e Peri\u00f3dicos (1.560 m\u00b2);<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Sala reservada para estudos individuais, contando com 26 (vinte e seis) cabines;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Espa\u00e7os para estudos individuais, 35 (trinta e cinco) cabines, distribu\u00eddos no ambiente do Acervo de Cole\u00e7\u00f5es Especiais e Peri\u00f3dicos;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Espa\u00e7os para Estudos em Grupo, distribu\u00eddos nos ambientes do Acervo Geral, do Acervo de Cole\u00e7\u00f5es Especiais e Peri\u00f3dicos e do Hall principal.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Espa\u00e7os de conviv\u00eancia para momentos de descontra\u00e7\u00e3o e descanso, com sof\u00e1 e mesas para jogos de Dama e Xadrez;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Espa\u00e7os multim\u00eddia (equipados com datashow, tv de plasma e tela de proje\u00e7\u00e3o) para eventos acad\u00eamicos e culturais: audit\u00f3rio (88 lugares); miniaudit\u00f3rio (50 lugares); sala de aula (25 lugares) e hall de exposi\u00e7\u00f5es para fins acad\u00eamicos e culturais;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Instala\u00e7\u00f5es sanit\u00e1rias e bebedouros distribu\u00eddos em todos os seus pavimentos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al\u00e9m disso, a BC ainda disponibiliza para os seus usu\u00e1rios:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;\u00a0 Um total de, aproximadamente, 90 (noventa) mesas e 300 (trezentos) assentos distribu\u00eddos em todos os seus espa\u00e7os destinados para estudos;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; O somat\u00f3rio de 08 (oito) computadores, sendo 04 (quatro) destinados \u00e0 realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de empr\u00e9stimo, renova\u00e7\u00e3o e devolu\u00e7\u00e3o, e os outros 04 (quatro) destinados \u00e0 consulta ao cat\u00e1logo.<\/span><\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Estrutura Administrativa<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Servi\u00e7os de fotoc\u00f3pia, entre outros.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><b>Recursos de Tecnologia da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o (TI)<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Biblioteca Central utiliza o Sistema Integrado de Bibliotecas Pergamum, um software que contempla as principais fun\u00e7\u00f5es de uma Biblioteca, operando de forma integrada e facilitando a gest\u00e3o no que se refere \u00e0 recupera\u00e7\u00e3o de informa\u00e7\u00f5es, bem como \u00e0 melhoria da qualidade global dos servi\u00e7os aos usu\u00e1rios, promovendo a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o no tratamento da informa\u00e7\u00e3o e o compartilhamento de recursos informacionais.
